Verdala International School

Verdala International School is located in Malta, an archipelago nation in the Mediterranean sea. While student teaching at Verdala, I worked along side Mrs. Generelli the K-5 art teacher. Throughout my time there, I worked on a number of different lessons with all grade levels. The last lesson I taught combined individual weaving created by the 2cd and 4th graders to create one large tapestry. The children learned about how fabric is made, the controversy surrounding fast fashion, and the importance of reducing/reusing/recycling fiber goods. The weaving were created out of old clothing and other cloth items brought in by the students.
